The Friends of the Alamosa Public Library are now accepting submissions to the 13th edition of its literary and art collection, Messages from the Hidden Lake.
This literary and art collection is produced by Friends of the Alamosa Public Library. It showcases work by Colorado authors and artists. Creative writers and artists of all ages may submit pieces for the volume, to be published in the Spring.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK BIKE
Friends Book Bike in the 2018 4th of July Parade Book Bike presented to the City Council 2017
Friends of the Library will be participating in the Parade again this year.
We will have the Book Bike decorated. We need walkers who will give out Friends of the Library coupons for FREE books from “Spines” (Friends book shed where we have our book sales). The coupons can be handed out to parents and children alike! You can dress up!
If you are interested in being a part of the fun, please call Allyn (719-588-9410) and let us know before June 28th. Allyn will give you information on where and what time to meet that day!

Book Sale News
Visit the Friends of the Library Book Nook located inside the library. The Library hours: Mon. – Fri. 9-6 p.m. and Saturday 10-2 p.m.
Our first book sale for 2021 will be May 8, 2021.

We are accepting larger donations by appointment: call Allyn at 719-588-9410. Drop off will be at the Friends of the Library’s “Spines” building. Small donations (up to 20 books) can be taken to the Library (call 719-589-6592).
o join Friends of the Library, return the application form to Alamosa Public Library with appropriate dues. You will receive a yearly membership card which gives you 20% discount on purchases at the book sales and late fees on your library account are forgiven.
The Friends always need good volunteers to help with hauling or unpacking boxes, setting up tables, sorting, shelving, advertising and book collection, or recycling.
