Arapahoe Libraries is excited to invite everyone to our virtual Early Literacy Speaker Event on September 8!
PARENT NATION: UNLOCKING EVERY CHILD’S POTENTIAL
Parents and caregivers of children ages 0-8 are invited to learn how to best support a young child’s brain development in a virtual presentation featuring Dr. Dana Suskind, MD on Thursday, September 8, 7-8:30 pm via the Zoom platform.
Suskind is the founder and co-director of the TMW Center for Early Learning and Public Health, director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program, and professor of surgery, pediatrics, and public policy at the University of Chicago.
She is the author of the book Thirty Million Words, which explores the importance of using the 3 Ts when talking to young children – Tune in, Talk more and Take turns! In her newly released Parent Nation, Suskind discusses how neuroscience of early childhood development can guide us toward a future in which every child is able to fulfill their full potential.
The first 125 registrants for this virtual event will receive a free copy of Parent Nation and everyone who registers will have a chance to receive one of five gift baskets!
Spanish and Russian language interpreters will be available.
