Family Fun: Burro Race

July 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Two children wearing running clothes and race tags stand with a mini-donkey wearing a pack, preparing to begin a burro race.
Burro Race Join Alamosa residents The Mosher Family for an informative and interactive presentation on a Colorado invention: the burro race!  Don’t be stubborn, and wear your jogging shoes!
This event will take place in Cole Park, just outside of the Library.  Volunteers will be on hand for participants in the Read for Beads program, so bring your reading log and bead chain! While there is no registration necessary for this event, register your reader for the Summer Reading Children’s Program here to keep them reading all summer long! This event takes place outdoors.  Shade tents will be set up in the park, but items like picnic blankets, sunscreen and bug spray may make the event even more enjoyable!  Bring them along with a picnic lunch for after the show, and you’ve got yourself a perfect morning with the APL community!
