DNA Companies: Pros and Cons – A Genealogy Perspective

October 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Are you considering using DNA to search for genealogical information? In this program, genealogist Eric Migdal will join us over Zoom to explain how DNA testing can help with genealogical research. He will cover Y-DNA testing and mitochondrial DNA testing as well as autosomal testing and go over the differences, pros, and cons of each type of testing, analysis of data, pricing, and subscription costs.
Eric Migdal has been doing family history research for 30 years, assisting clients with family tree building, DNA test analysis, safely and effectively contacting unknown family members. As an adoptee, he spent many years searching for his biological family with very few results – until he did DNA testing to assist him with finding the truth about his family. Ultimately, DNA is what led him to the correct family.
