Community Quilt – Open for Submissions

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until July 22, 2023

This summer, the Alamosa Public Library invites you to take part in building a Community Quilt from different kinds of textile art. To participate, join one of our textile art programs below, or submit a contribution of your own at the Library. 
  • June 9, 1:30 p.m. – Splatter Paint Textile Squares – Age 5-10
  • June 10, 1 p.m. – Tie-Dye with Thad’s Threads – All Ages
  • June 16, 5:30 p.m. – Easy Tie-Dye and Freezer Paper Stenciling – Age 8-18
  • June 24, 1 p.m. – Colcha Embroidery – Adult
Independent contributions must be under 2 feet by 2 feet square, original textile artwork (quilting, weaving, knitting, crochet, embroidery, etc.) and submitted with a label containing the name and contact information of the maker. Call Maria Kramer at 587-2543 for more information.
